Terms of Use

These terms set out the conditions for using Bugoon Security (the "App"), a macOS app provided by RUBY JOBS K.K. ("we"), and its website sec.bugoon.com. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. The Japanese version of these terms prevails; this English version is provided for convenience.

1. Fees

The App is free. Charges for the Claude usage the App relies on (paid to Anthropic, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud) and network costs are your responsibility.

2. Permitted use

  1. You may review only repositories that you or your team maintain and that you are authorized to review.
  2. You must not:
    • examine or attack systems or repositories you are not authorized to access;
    • use the App for any purpose that violates laws or public order;
    • modify, disassemble or decompile the App, or redistribute or sell it, except as permitted by law;
    • extract the bundled claude (Anthropic's Claude Code) from the App and use it for other purposes.

3. Use of Claude

The App uses Claude through an Anthropic API key, Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI that you provide. Your agreements with those providers, and Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service and Usage Policy, apply to that use, and you agree to comply with them.

The bundled claude is software of Anthropic PBC, not ours.

4. No warranty

  1. The App is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is free of errors, fit for a particular purpose, or works in your environment.
  2. Findings, checks and suggested fixes are produced by AI and their correctness is not guaranteed. Finding nothing does not prove there is no problem. Whether to act on a finding is your decision.

5. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where laws such as the Consumer Contract Act of Japan prevent this limitation from applying. Even then, our liability for damage caused by our negligence (other than gross negligence) is limited to direct damage that would ordinarily arise.

6. Changes to and discontinuation of the service

We may change the App or the website, or stop providing them, without prior notice.

7. Personal information

Personal information is handled according to our privacy policy.

8. Third-party software

The App includes third-party software, including open source software. You can view their licenses under Third-party licenses in the App's Settings. That software is governed by its own license, not by these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when necessary. When we do, we will post the new terms and their effective date on this page. Using the App on or after the effective date means you agree to the new terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute relating to the App.
